The roots of E&S Electric go back to 1958 when Irv Eichorst Sr. founded the original family business. Farm, service, and residential wiring soon expanded into the commercial and industrial arena, while continuing to service the original customer base. Irv retired in 1974.

At 28 years of age, Irv Jr. incorporated the firm and used his apprenticeship training and ten years of experience to forge ahead into the ever-increasing demand for electrical installations.

Irv's sons Mike and John joined the company in 1985 and 1997 respectively. Their experience began as teenagers in their father's shop. Both are graduates of Dunwoody Industrial Institute in Minneapolis and their assistance was definitely a plus for the business, which by then had 30-plus staff. Mike's long-suit is electrical design, and John already had eight years of project management experience at a large contracting firm in St. Paul.

Today finds E&S well prepared to meet the challenges of large- and small-scale electrical contracting. Operating from their newly-expanded 10,000 square foot facility in Western Dane County, E&S is able to perform all facets of electrical design, construction and service. A full compliment of tools, inventory and skilled tradesmen enables E&S to design and build to completion projects in the million-dollar range.
